Berlin began searching for a new place to host the event. We wrote to 60 metropolises throughout Europe on 22 February. Many cities have answered so far; interesting discussions have been taking place behind the scenes. There is a major and thoroughly positive resonance. We are therefore well on the way towards launching this year’s Loveparade – and this is our absolutely top priority! – even if at a somewhat later date. This step was not easy for us to take, since we regard Berlin as our home. But the Loveparade must continue to take place! For this reason, we are looking straight ahead with this goal in view. The Loveparade’s continued existence is dear to our hearts and remains at the centre of our concerns. The Loveparade is not tied to any one place! Our signal of tolerance and a peaceful coexistence in the world through the medium of our music is being carried all over the world. That is what the Loveparade is all about. Of course good will alone is not enough to bring off the parade; local circumstances and support from the city are necessary as well.
